Contemporary artwork opens up a wide spectrum of invention and moves that cropped up in the mid-19th century. The Industrial Revolution culminated in a string of modifications in the society, thus forming the stage for a set of moves.

These motions have left a massive effect on the culture and art of the modern period. As an example, the 20th century has seen a massive influx of new artistic methods and materials, and of course the manners of expression!

Impressionism

The history of contemporary art could be traced to a group of French artists that jumped in the proper, realistic artwork of the contemporaries thereby introducing the motion of Impressionism.

Impressionists, through the stunning use of color and light, introduced a completely different approach to artwork particularly for kids’ artwork. The convention became popular and developed to contribute to quite a few Post-Impressionistic moves.

Hailed as one of the prime Post-Impressionistic moves, Fauvism, considered in using simplified layouts in conjunction with an”orgy of pure colours”.

The Expressionism

In 1880, there arose a new elaborate kind of art named Art Nouveau. The painting of Gustave Klimpt, whose superbly adorned, frequently mysterious girls became the anger of the moment.

The Art Deco Movement could be regarded as a followup Kind of this Art Nouveau. The excellent artist, Pablo Picasso, heralded the heritage of Cubism- an art form constituting geometrical forms and fragmentations.

The subsequent period saw a range of artists revolting from the modern art forms, which they believed as vague and sophisticated. Andy Warhol directed the motion to Pop Art. His works showcased the portraits of famous personalities, which he reduced to nearly cartoon-like simplicity.
